Position Summary:

Commercial Finance Associates (CFAs) are the lifeblood of CFLBC. CFAs work in a fastpaced sales environment interfacing with clients, senior management, funding analysts, and institutional capital sources. CFAs market the firm's suite of financial products directly to our client base of equipment dealers and businesses. Our employees gain financial aptitude, industry expertise, and refined business-to-business sales techniques suitable for communicating with business owners and managers. CFAs also gain expertise in financial statement and credit analysis, making them among the most valued sales professionals in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Educate and advise customers on CFLBC's suite of financing solutions

  • Analyze credit risk, compliance, underwriter options, and cashflow scenarios

  • Understand clients' corporate structures, business plans, operational strategies

  • Convert high value, proprietary vendor leads into recurring revenue from vendor-referred financing transactions

  • Participate in targeted marketing campaigns while working leads through the sales process

  • Establish and maintain a strong client base through consistent inbound and outbound communication

  • Develop diverse industry expertise including specific product and technical knowledge

  • Actively maintain contacts in client relationship management application (CRM)

  • Mentor and train new CFAs to foster and maintain a benevolent work environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required - All majors considered; Greek system affiliation a plus

  • Some sales experience preferred

  • Strong phone presence and ability to communicate financial concepts required

  • Strong work ethic, motivation, and ambition to set and exceed goals required

  • Familiarity with rudimentary finance concepts, formulas and applications preferred

  • Ability to exceed expectations under pressure in a fast paced, competitive environment required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills required

  • Ability to work effectively in a team framework required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook preferred
